- Academic Degrees: Master of Music (MMus) in Jazz Performance from the University of Cape Town (2018–2020);
- Jazz and Classical Guitar studies at the Kunstuniversität Graz, Austria (1994–1998); Classical Guitar studies at the University of Cape Town (1984–1986).
- Research Specialization: Certifications in Research Methodology (UNISA, 2018) and Artistic Research in Music (KU Leuven/edX, 2019).
